OUR MISSION

Foster Friends is a non-profit charitable organization that provides a brighter future to children experiencing foster care in Guilford County, North Carolina. Through our General Awards and our JOURNEYS© Mentoring programs, we work to provide foster children with access to activities and opportunities that enrich their childhood experience.

We are actively recruiting adults mentors for JOURNEYS II and volunteers to assist with administrative duties in our office. Please come to an upcoming Informational Meeting. Starting January 4, 2010, there will be an Informational Meeting held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon.  If you'd like to meet in the evening to discuss volunteer opportunities please contact our office.

Who Mentored Who

In honor of National Mentoring Month, Foster Friends of North Carolina is launching a mentor appreciation campaign called "Who Mentored Who?
How You Became You!"

We encourage everyone to share memories from a mentoring relationship that impacted your lives. Whether you were the mentor or the mentee, tell us what this friendship meant to you and how it changed your life.

Memories will be posted on this website, and once this appreciation campaign wraps up in May we will publish the best memories into a book that will honor mentoring relationships. To learn more about this project and to submit your memory, see our
Who Mentored Who page.
