In honor of John Shore you can make a donation
towards the 2,170 mile hike that will take John
from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Maine as he
hikes the Appalachian Trail. John’s Appalachian
Journey will benefit FOSTER FRIENDS OF
NORTH CAROLINA’s foster youth mentoring
program JOURNEYS™.

JOURNEYS ™ seeks to:

• Provide foster children with caring
  connections to adults
• Expose and engage foster children to the arts, sciences, athletics, recreational activities, and service projects
• Help foster children create personal plans for educational success
• Offer life skill workshops to stimulate self confidence and build a strong sense of self awareness
